Ruger Crystal

Post by d findley »

What is it? 3 3/4 X 3 3/4 X 2 inch. Clear crystal. I'm told it is not an ash tray. Anyone see one like it? Date? I suppose it was a Ruger employee Christmas gift.

Don, what you have is the top of a curio dish, here's a pic of the top and bottom that I have. Not sure when it was made or history of it. Sorry about the pic being upside down, just wouldn't cooperate with me.

Thank you. That explains a lot. I have both halves. Didn't think about putting them together. I assumed the other just did not have the logo.

I believe it's too small for a candy dish. Maybe for jewelry??

I believe Chuck is correct! 1995 Christmas gift, clear candy dish with etched Ruger logo.

I looked through some of my information that I've gathered and this is what I found:
Clear glass 3"×3"×2" candy dish. Has Ruger logo etched in top of lid. Approximately 2,050 produced for 1995 Ruger employee Christmas gift (a total of 1,937 people were employed by Ruger at the end of 1995).
Chuck and Terry gets the award for calling it right.
