I've had this one for several years and never really noticed until I hung it on the wall next to my other 10-22's that the pistol grip was removed. It appears to be a factory job with the stock scrolling/engraving that is done. The serial number dates this one to 2007.
I have two guns that Chief AJ customized the stocks and removed the grip, but this is the only one I've seen from the factory.
Did Ruger do any other stocks with out the pistol grip on the 10-22's?
Cheers,
JAY

Re: 10-22 QUESTION & COMMENTS
Hi Jay, I have a couple of Altamont straight grip stocks that were takeoffs from Ruger 10/22's. I bought them and put them on a couple of 10/22's that I made up. They were factory stocks but very recent. The model was the Altamont Classic V and the manufacturer number was 1297. 20 inch stainless barrel with schnabel forend straight grip stock. Says 1500 were made

Jay, here's a pic of one of the Talo Classic V 10/22s that I have. I have put a silver Nikon Prostaff scope on it since this pic. The 2nd pic is from another Talo with an English style stock. I believe yours is from Talo also, very tasteful pattern on it.

If you look in Exhibits for the OGCA show of 2019 you can see some pictures in my exhibit of those stocks. Also my ugly mug and a ROCS sign made with marbles.

Bennett,
Nice looking rifles.
The scrolling/engraving on the second gun is VERY nice.
Thanks for posting.
WT,
Good looking display.
Surprised you could spare enough marbles for the sign!!!
Cheers,
JAY
