i got curious about a ruger mk II 22/45 that i have... but i have since learned that ruger does not manufacture serial numbers in order so i am guessing that 220-00020 has no special significance beyond being nothing but 2's and zeros. and here i was hoping it was #20 or 21 off the line... any help on this would be appreciated ...
thanks
mark.

That is a 2-digit 22/45 pistol. They were first available in 1992, serial numbers began with 220-00001. So your number is 20, that's a great gun.

Like Bill said, the 220 prefix was reserved for the 22/45 models, so I would say you got a great one. Some of the early guns lik that were shipped to gun writers for testing and evaluation.

Sounds like a keeper to me. Welcome to the place where Ruger is spoken fluently and we have fun.
