RUGER MAGNUM EXPRESS .416 RIGBY

Post by doccash »

Rifle Magazine #131 in 1990 introduced the Ruger Magnum Express rifle. The author of the article was Al Miller, now deceased and a credible author. He also authored an article on the same rifle in #161 edition of Handloader. I bought the rifle from Al Miller through Ron Petersons Gun Shop in Albuquerque, New Mexico on March 2, 1996. The rifle is featured on the cover of Rifle Magazine #131. It has been a pleasure to own and shoot and the beginning of a small collection of Express rifles by Ruger. In 2007 I traveled to Tanzania and shot 2 Cape Buffalo with this rifle and another one with a Ruger Express chambered in .458 Lott. Ruger made a great product with their Express Magnums Dr.C

As much as I enjoy your wildlife photos and other scenery, I like your gun pictures the best. What a picture and what a story! How about a pic of old m'bogo??

Thanks! Really good pic; since you are in it, who took it? One other point; the thing I really like about the Ruger rifles with good wood- no doubt this is the RIFLE cover rifle because of the wood figure! About the only thing us long gun guys have over the handgun guys-generally, most of theirs all look alike. ;)
Obviously trying to stir up something here!
