Hello All,
I am a new member of the Ruger Society and I was hoping that I would be able to get some insight into a recent acquisition. This is a .41 mag Blackhawk made sometime in 1969. The white plastic grips are something I have never seen before. I have googled and googled but have not been able to find out any information on this typ of grip. I don't know if it was made for a wholesaler special run or if it was something Ruger did as an aftermarket option. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately it has a small chip in the butt.

They are attractive but believe that they are aftermarket. Great looking .41

Thank you both for your insight. I will check out Altamont and see what they made.

I wonder if they might be Jay Scott?
Some people sit on $.05 of knowledge like it is the treasure of Egypt. I will teach anyone $.10 worth just to prove a point...

Thought Jay Scott as well at first, but I have never seen a Jay Scott with a factory escutcheon. I posted another photo of the back of the grips and there is nothing to note other than the escutcheons are staked in place in a round mortise.
