Chief AJ collectibles

Post by Charlie1022 »

I was at the OGCA show today and ran across someone selling two Chief AJ special 10/22's One was a Scout rifle with the medallion in the stock with a birch stock and brass nails in the stock and the other was a limited model with an Indian painted on the birch stock. These were the first Chief AJ rifles I had seen for sale in a long time! Has anyone else seen any Chief AJ 10/22's for sale anywhere? He was asking $1000 for the pair asking price but I am thinking he would have taken less.

Hey Charlie. No idea on the Chief item values, but I missed seeing you yesterday at OGCA. I was busy rounding up more displays and items for our ROCS display show in July. It was truly a packed house with lots of good stuff for sale!?
See you in July. Brass Frame/Lee

Hey Lee, With that many people it was no wonder our paths did not cross at the show. I went down with a couple of friends and did a quick run through and was on the road back home a little after noon. I did hope I would have got the chance to see you there . I am really looking forward to the July show and scouted out my parking spot for the motor home, How many displays do you have lined up so far for the show? Is there anything I can do to help you with for the show or the banquet?
Both Chief AJ 10/22's were new in the box but had plain birch stocks One was a scout rifle with a limited medallion in the stock and brass tacks and the other had the Indian on his horse that the chiefs wife had painted on the stock as another special limited run. These were the first Chief AJ guns I have seen for sale in a long time. The asking price was $1000 for the pair but I would think if someone was really interested they could have maybe been bought for less for someone wanting to add them to their collection. I am redoing my display from Tulsa last year and have added a new item to the display.
