Re: Armamex Pistol
Well, here’s at least one difference. My pistol doesn’t have that little release or whatever it is on the right hand side.

The grips are kind of typical of what you’d see down there across the Border in Alcones or Tijuana or something like that I’ve spent a little bit of time down there they kind of remind you of a Concho belt or maybe a cheap type bridal for a horse. They are probably hand worked and then have bronze Decorations soldered on it, maybe a nickel or German silver plating? The edges are pretty sharp. It doesn’t really seem like tin but it really feels like it. I would guess those are probably 1960 s. I’d really like to see a picture of what should be on this pistol because it does not have that release that Don‘s pistol has on the right hand side I’ve seen a few different pictures of the grips, but they’re all notched out for that release I’m more likely going to just sell this or trade it off ? Were it not for a Pennsylvania Ruger collector getting a lead on 8 Armamex autos in the early to mid 1980's that were being imported into this country, the Ruger would be almost as rare today as the High Standard or the Whitney.Watertender wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 8:18 am Don do you have that one? It would be interesting to know where the 250 Armamex Ruger "Pistolas" went. I remember reading that there were 200 RST4's and 50 RST6's. Were the RST6's 6 or 6.5 inch barrels? I read 6.5 in John Dougan's book Ruger Pistols and Revolvers, The Vintage Years.
