20 & 21 Flat Gates

Post by JAYDAWG »

Very fortunate to the next in line to care for these two. Some of you have owned these individually in the past, but the last caretaker "ain't much on pictures or the internet" so, I think maybe the first pics of them together. The 20 gun has an amazing cherry/gold/plum frame, and was part of the Jack O'Conner subscription guns. The 21, I have no history on, so if any you "experienced" Ruger guys can help me with that, I would appreciate it. 8-) I have sent for a Ruger letter.
Also the two red & white tags came with them. Pic of opposite sides of each. First I had seen. Any input on these?

Cheers,
JAYDAWG

I just checked Dougan's book. The white & red tags were shipped with single sixes from 1959-1963.
No wonder I didn't know.....to new for me

That fits right into my time frame. Set them aside and I'll grab them the next time I pass through the area.......

Nice looking set.

Terry, I don't think that Jay has the #22? I know who owns it in case you want to know! Brass Frame/Lee
