Just received an email informing me of Ruger Bearcat and Super Bearcat revolvers at auction with Bonhams, Marlborough, Massachusetts.

I follow most of the gun auction sites in the U.S. even though 99% of the guns on them we cannot own in the U.K. but still interested. Don’t know enough about Bearcat revolvers but what made me look was the description of the individual listings. They describe them as Rare, Scarce and Alphabet Series and most of them seem to be from the late 50,s and 60’s. The Bearcat revolvers start on page 4, Lot No. 1205 onwards.
Hope these are of interest.

Russ was a heavy duty Bearcat collector. One of very few who had all the Alphabets and other rare Cats.

Yes, I got to know Russ when he attended some of the Harrisburg, Pa shows. He helped me procure several Olympics medallions and showed strong support for the competitors. Brass Frame/Lee

I lost touch with Russ recently, hope he is well. I had the privilege to win a bid for his vacation home in Nova Scotia. He donated it to the Ruger auction that we had at one of the Harrisburg shows. His home was great, right on the north shore…. I contributed a gun or two to his collection a while back..

Yes, we too hope he is ok and doing well, as we had added some of them Bearcats to his collecting many year ago, as Laura did not "want them all".........
