Ruger inscribed Speed Six
Ruger inscribed Speed Six
Recently picked up this oddball, for me, speed six. If you ever watched Gunsmoke, Arvo Ojala is the guy Marshal Dillon shots in the show's opening each week.

Dang!
Very cool.
Doesn't look like he shot it much.
That will make some of the DA guys drool.

Re: Ruger inscribed Speed Six
It's a small group of people that is given a gun inscribed from Ruger to them, friends of Bill Ruger like Elmer Keith, Herb Glass and some Presidents to mention a few. Thanks for sharing, a neat addition to the beautification of your safe.

I will be the caretaker for this one for only a short time. It will soon go to its more permanent home with a Double Action collector.

I seem to recall that he was THE guy in Hollywood who help teach actors in westerns how to have the proper handling, drawing, shooting, etc. of single actions. I'll need to do a bit more research. That would be a great addition to any DA collection.
