Every now and then, this happens

Post by Rickkling »

Well, I think we all have had an experience or two like this, I just wish they came along more often.
Last night on a local group page I came across a red Eagle. Asking price was reasonable (I felt so anyway). And you can’t have too many, right?, so I told him I’d take it.
I originally thought it was sn. 80xx, so given the condition, it seemed fair.
When I looked at the picture closer this morning, it was 30xx! The main thing I saw was a good looking set of grips with a nice eagle.
Well,I picked it up, and on the way home it dawned on me, what about the bolt?
Yes! It was an all original (I think) type I with good grips, an original mag and a bolt WITHOUT the spring support. Overall, it’s in fair shape at best, but it’s a good, honest gun. The pics are before cleaning. Not beautiful, but a nice addition!

Good for you, Type I Variations are far and few between. ;)
If it has the two tone magazine as radical ask about even better IMO.
