Ruger MK2 Stainless

Post by Urnge »

I Have been trying to find some information on this Ruger MK2 Stainless with a ported bull barrel. Any information would be greatly appreciated. It was a gift from my father in law many years ago, put in a safe and forgot about.

I am NOT a Mark II expert but it appears to me to be a very highly modified/customized pistol. The s/n dates it to 1989 but I don't see any markings that give a hint to the customizer. The trigger guard isn't stock, nor is the trigger (with the overtravel screw) and the barrel isn't stock. That said it's a great looking Mark II and I'm sure the Mark series experts will chime in and give us even more info.

The most obvious thing I see is the “Clark customs” grips.
I’d call them 1-318-949-9884. If it’s their baby, they’ll claim it!
It’s pretty slick, I like it!

Thanks guys…. I appreciate the insight…. Went to the range today and shot it for the first time. I dont think it has been fired for 15 years. 10 shots within 1 1/2 “ group at 30 feet. I am no marksman…. Fun to shoot.

Very nice! I’ll bet if you try various ammo and bench rest it that you’ll be putting them in the same hole. Someone put some work into it. Thanks for sharing!
