Walnut Stocked 10/22 Values

Post by t.hinckley »

Never really looked at these earlier 10/22's before, but in the last week I have seen two, one from 1979 ($216) and one from 1969 ($255) go for less than newer models with the birch or synthetic stocks. This seems odd, so curious what these should be going for.

I think those are cheap prices for many reasons.
Walnut looks better.
Metal trigger housing,
and C&R eligible on anything 1975 & earlier.
Next year the Liberty guns will be C&R !!!!
I do not "own" these guns, I am but the next caretaker

First one came in last Monday:

I'm kinda digging the Bushnell 3x-7x Custom 22 scope it came with. Glass isn't super clear, but it is a period scope and nice for what it is.

Second one will be here on Monday.

Yeah, I am trying to decide if I am a curio or a relic... leaning towards relic.

I think you are probably just plain weird! I have something you might be interested in. A set of size 64 bib overalls for the growing collector. I'll even throw in some marbles and a jar of marshmallow fluff....
Some people sit on $.05 of knowledge like it is the treasure of Egypt. I will teach anyone $.10 worth just to prove a point...

Picked up the 1969 vintage today

I liked the bushnell scope that was on the '79 and found one to put on this gun.
