Red Eagle Type VI ?

Post by wmennel »

What I believe is a Type VI. This pistol has all of the characteristics of a Type VI but does not fall within the serial number range (10062 - 10793). The serial number for this pistol is 10814 just outside the range.

Keep in mind that the serial numbers published in references are for those guns that have been seen or reported, so obviously the serial number ranges can be expanded if somebody finds an update.
Looks like you now have the highest known Type 7 red eagle.
10850 is the earliest known Red Eagle with 1/2" dovetail rear sight, so your gun also narrowed the range for that.
