Not sure if it's the same one, but last year at Tulsa, there was a guy with MANY miniatures. I saw a Hawkeye and a flattop, Plus many other manufacturers guns, but he wanted almost as much as the actual gun was worth....so I passed.

Ya I’d say you made a mistake. You are correct they are not cheap but there was only 12 produced The Hawkeye and the 22 in salt cod box. 12 of each. I lnew the Hawkeye existed but I didn’t know about .22. To me this is somthing I’ll never find again in my lifetime. I’m on the search now. I’m gonna find the .22.

Hello Guys,
The miniatures were an RCA Special Offering, there were 12 Standard Pistols and 12 Hawkeyes made in Canada by well known mini maker David Cucer, Dave was an artist and well respected among his peers. The Standards were made in the late 1970s and the Hawkeyes a couple years later. I don't recall the price at that time, but it was expensive. I purchased Standards #1 & #2, later ended up trading them off, I don't where they are today. I sold a mini Hawkeye #11 about 20 years ago for several thousand dollars.
Also, I provided the box and instruction manual to be used to make the minis. I think there was one Standard made with a long barrel. One Standard was presented to Mr. Ruger at the RCA banquet in San Antonio, he later was found sitting at the bar in his his hotel sweet taking it apart to see how authentic and detailed it was, he was amazed to say the least.
Scootjr, what is the serial number on your newly acquired mini Hawkeye?
