10/22 windfall

Post by LDB »

Going through my dad's stuff last night, finally and long overdue, I discovered I have a 10/22 with wood stock from 2012 that still has the Walmart $199.95 hang tag on it, in the box as bought.

I also have a Universal M1 Carbine S/N 235xx so early 1960's before they changed anything from original specs. The bolt won't open so I have to find a Houston gunsmith good on those.

And a who knows why Winchester pistol grip 12 ga. that I'll find a stock for and have an ok house gun.

But a nice 10/22 and M1 carbine! Double score.

Update, I learned my friend who also owns a local shop and is our only trusted shop source is also very much into M1 carbines. He's also more fit from constant working. He managed to unfreeze the bolt which is now lubed and working fine again. So it will be off to the range one of these days.
