Re: Banned from Ruger forum
I was banned from the other RF (rugerforum.net) last week for a "personal attack on a member" because I took umbrage to being called a nitwit and retaliated. While I did delete my post, I refused to apologize. Told on the appeal I need to take a couple of month's break before trying to appeal the ban again. Saturday, three days after the ban, I received my receipt for my annual supporting membership..... Waiting on a response to that now.

Almost hilarious Dan.....I offered to help monetarily and was rebuffed I really loved the OLD Ruger Forum.....all I wanted was to make it better but as an old friend use to say....NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED.....rugerguy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 16, 2026 4:18 pm ...wow, once again I feel that is a very sad attitude,,,,tsk ,tsk, you guys should just grow up,, worse things in life everyday and life is FAR too short![]()
you have no clue at all the time and effort Ale-8 and his son, had to put up with and go through to keep things running on THEIR dime![]()
and I go back to when Mike P., literally gave up some of those 'United Forums', and gave it to Carl and to various othesr like the S&W forum, back when I was a member of the S&WCA.![]()

I had mentioned years ago and a post that a &$$$ membership type thing could’ve been done when it was a quality clubhouse. I’m guessing you can search the post and find it if you’re really interested.
And I’m sure they work really really really hard but what the heck so does a garbage disposal?

Guys, this whole topic is getting too much traffic and sounds like that forum has little to offer Ruger Collectors? Brass Frame/Lee
Re: Banned from Ruger forum
Sadly,, there have been changes to the Ruger Forum ever since Carl,, aka; "Flatgate" passed & a few others got control.
First it was issues with software, and people not being able to join. When several folks offered help,, many were rebuffed,, ignored, or told to stay out of "their" business.
MANY,,MANY good people either lost the ability to log on, and just gave up trying,, or had run-ins with the admins over the problems. As such,, those same people went away,, much to the LOSS to so many others who seek good knowledge.
Somehow,, I survived and still frequent the site.
But the real world,, average new Ruger owner or collector MAY,, or MAY NOT get as good of information there as they once could get.
It still has several "old timers" who survived & such,, and we try & help as much as we can. Sadly,, it's just not the same as it once was. But collectors can still get good help in general. But I still try hard to get folks there to "join the RENE,, and ROCS" for more detailed & top quality info.

I don't know this to be fact but I can see why some may come here but not stay. This 'group' appears to the be the 'deep pockets' Ruger 'stuff' owners and not the average Joe that has two old Rugers and questions. They may feel 'overawed'.
