My new to me Speed-Six

Post by LDB »

Got this today. Speed-Six with hard chrome finish, action/trigger jobs by Bob Cogan, wearing a set of Herrett's Shooting Star grips and includes a set of custom grips by Badger, $125 to order today, and a nice set of original wood grips.
ETA I don't know why these stupid photos are rotated 90 degrees and then turn fully upside-down when clicked. I took them right side up. :(

Good looking Speed Six. I think you did very well with the trade. The chrome job is not ostentatious but really makes it look good.

Thank you. Your opinion is significant to me. I agree the finish is great looking. I'm thinking of selling the Badger grips. I like the wood much more. Any thoughts on pricing them? Or if there's even any use in trying to sell them? Oh, and where to post them? Thanks again for your appreciated input.

Ebony grips aren't for everyone, but you never knoe unless youi try. I would post them both here and the Rugerforum.com site and see what the response is. You can price them for the full value or less and ask what people think they might be worth on the open market. You could also list them on eBay if you've ever sold anything there. There are a lot of Ruger grips on eBay so people must think it might be worth it to try.

Hope this helps.

Beautiful Speed Six! You need a #8 Tyler T-Grip to go with the original grips.

I've heard a few times I need the #8. I've never cared for the look but given the "old school" and 40 years age of this one maybe I'll have to break down and give it a try.
