Got a couple more off my bucket list. A LWSS and a .22 mag roll mark. See if I can get pics posted. The LW wasn't in as good shape as the one Jay sold recently, but I am happy with it!
The .22 mag was converted, and someone had put a front new sight on it. I wasn't sure if they were brazed in or how to change them out. Rugerguy filled me in on this. Really simple. Put the sight in a smooth jawed vise and give it a fer sharp raps with a nylon hammer, pops right out.
To install new sight, turn the barrel against a padded jaw of the vise, put the sight in the slot and slowly close the vise, compresses the sight in.
So this is what it looks like now

Re: A couple more off my bucket list
I have also finished, sorta, a project I started 5-6 months ago. I took an om sss and made it a pocket gun. I worked down the gf and grips. I finished the grips and replaced the medallions wit a pair I got with a broken set of grips in a parts kit. I had the gf powder coated locally.
I took the barrel off the frame and used a barrel out of another parts kit. I took all the parts to Wood Brothers Gunsmithing, told them what I wanted done, and 6 weeks later I got it back!. The barrel is cut to 3", and the ejector rod housing was recommended by Hondo. It's designed so the ejector button swings out of the way of the base pin, so the cylinder can be removed without removing the erh. Thanks much, Hondo!
I had prepped the barrel for bluing before taking it to 'smith, now I am trying to decide if I want to blue it or leave it raw.
The front sight is gonna hafta be filed down a bunch, I took it to the range last week and had to put the sight halfway in the sight picture to get it on paper!
