1957 4 5/8" Single Six

Post by Ruger8r »

I won this piece on a recent Bauer auction. It looks to me like it came from the factory with a 4 5/8" barrel but I know that is hard to prove. It also has a unique blued hammer, which I hadn't noticed until I brought it home today. It's in great shape with only minor freckling on the ERH and appears to be unfired. I love the frame color; the photos make it more red than it actually is. Maybe it was a special order or an employee gun. Hoping for the best when letters resume. Enjoy.

That is a great looking gun! I have heard that factory letters might be no longer approved? Good luck adding to your collection. Brass Frame/Lee

Thank you, Lee.
I don't understand why the Company is doing this. I know it's about $$ but to sacrifice customer engagement? Sure do miss Linda.

That's a beauty, I love the pluming. It is really sad about no longer being able to get factory letters.

Thank you, Troy, for that generous offer. But you might say I'm addicted to chocolate and have gone plum crazy now. However, you'll be the first call if I ever regain my sanity.

I can't even imagine how many marbles I would have to offer for that one! I'd have to include a surf board and a bunch of Beach Boys 45rpm records to even make you feel like it was a legitimate offer. I'd even throw in a set of Mouseketeer ears and an autographed picture of Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon!!!
Seriously that is a beautiful Single Six!!
