Stars and Arrows from a friend.
Stars and Arrows from a friend.
I was very happy living in my chosen category of Red Eagles, but somehow get drug kicking and screaming into new Ruger "opportunities". Since my friend, (I will call him Frank), wanted to thin his herd a little he told me about New model Single Sixes with little Stars * and Arrows, (nothing on the keyboard for this one, but looks like a house). He, like most people know way too much about all Ruger's, I am a follower, and he knows I am a sucker for buying cool groups of guns I know little about. So he tempts me with the larger group of Single Sixes below with Stars and Arrows. He always gives me a good "deal" on groups like this, and I mentioned that I am not into new stuff because I barely know enough about the old stuff. Apparently, (since I have been trying to figure out what I was missing), I purchased most of what was available in 1975 (Stars) and 1986 (Arrows) except a one of 12 or so S4 I believe, and another SS6 that is quite available. At the same time Bryant Ridge had a bunch of Liberty model Revolvers and a T512, so since I had broken the seal on buying new models and had all the Liberty's in Auto's I bought the Liberty's in the smaller group and most were not described at all well, but the pictures showed the 200th Liberty roll mark. I think I paid $400 to $500 max for these, SBH, BH 44, BH 45, SS convertible, and a T512. As my luck would have it today they all came in at the same time and my wife was totally impressed! So now I need to look for the nearly impossible, the S4....I think. Anyone know of one please let me know, after the stupid price I paid, (Thanks to RR's friend), for the SN 31 SBH last week it will probably pale by comparison! So, thanks for listening, my wife thinks I need some serious therapy, she just doesn't realize that means getting a few more Rugers! Have a great weekend everyone, I will be reading about Liberty, Stars, and Arrows....Sounds like a 250th celebration to me, and that makes sense because (Frank) sold them to me also. Thanks Frank, my wife would like to speak to you.

Hey Bill, its great to see you are expanding your interest in other Rugers. Those stars and arrows are interesting guns. You are not alone when something new arrives, here at my hangout my sweetie rolls her eyes at my explanation of "I had to have it". I love being addicted to these fine Rugers.
