Ruger has made a convertible. It was (or is) the REDHAWK. In 1970 (?) Ruger produced a Redhawk in 45LC and 45ACP using moon clips for Talo, one of there distributors. See the article in this months American Rifleman on page 66.
If they are not producing them today this should be a rare find for a DA collector.

Thank you for the note. I will have to track down the article. It sounds like it could have been the Prototype for the recently released 45/45ACP RedHawk. This would be a real find...another item added to my DA quest.
