AN IDEA FOR ADDING MEMBERS

Post by tommygun »

When buying or selling try including a membership to the deal. ( That you pay for ) I think a number of people might return once they see the Journal.

That is an idea for the older guns but do not see it helping with the newer models for someone just getting started with some of the newer models.

Not a bad idea, but probably would be better with more collectable guns.

Good idea. I believe we have singed more new members with the book give away at big shows than anything else. I'm always for trying new ideas to raise funds.

As the old saying goes...TommyGun put his money where his mouth is....he just paid a complementary membership for a man he bought a Flattop from. Setting a great example!

Hi, this is off the subject, but I am trying to find info on a Chief AJ 10/22 I have. It is a straight, laminate wood stock that has his named and image engraved in the stock. It is stainless and has his name and logo on the barrel. I tracked AJ down and talked to him on the phone. He said very few were sold before Ruger bought the stock he designed. He said it was the only straight, no pistol grip stock on 10/22's.

Do you know any about these? Thanks, Eric

Eric, you would probably have a better chance of getting an answer posting your question in the "Bolt, Auto, Lever Rifle" forum. Doubt rifle guys will see it here.

Hi Eric, Can you post some pictures of the 10/22 you Reported. Chief AJ is a friend of mine and I have several of his guns. What you are reporting sounds like one of his scout rifles. It is always good to hear from other collectors. As reported above you might want to post your question in the section for the 10/22. You will find several post on Chief AJ guns.
