Holy Grail Just Spotted - pricing help

Post by Williamb »

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this but I just saw a factory engraved Ruger Single-Six Jerred engraved pistol for sale. I have never ever seen one for sale and especially on one of the common auction sites. The seller Jackthedog gets incredible items for sale. I don't know how he does it. I usually follow his auctions just to understand what items are selling for but this Single-Six really has my interest. Wondering if someone could tell me what a 97% gun would be worth?

Thanks

Where is it, Gunbroker? What is the item number? Without seeing the images, if it has the presentation case and true 97% I would say in the $9,000 or so range.

It's on Gunauction. The number is 14446700.

Thanks for the help.

That is a great looking RSSE, no presentation case but still a rare peice. Several bids, it will be interesting to see where it ends up. A good buy so far.

It is a great looking RSSE. If the gun had its presentation case with it I believe it would be a good buy at $8,500 - 9,000.
The presentation cases are worth $1,000 - 1,250 if you can find one. So I think just this RSSE alone would be a good buy at $7,000 or so.
This is just my humble opinion and I really do like the engraved Single-Sizes.
I sure hope it will go to someone who appreciates these fine revolvers.

I think that was a good deal for the winner, $6,110. Great score.

WOW I expected more action on the last day but you never can tell. That purchase will make someone very happy. I always follow JacktheDog auctions on Gunauction. He always has interesting items. Much more entertaining than TV.
