Lot 1030: Ruger Single Six Flat Gate Revolver (74 views)
Ruger Single Six Flat Gate Revolver
Estimate: $500 - $700
Description: serial #581, 22 LR, 5 1/2" barrel with an excellent bore. Like many of his generation, one of the first guns purchased by Roy Jinks was the iconic Ruger Single Six. This 1954-made gun retains about 95% factory blue and anodized finishes with light high edge wear, handling marks and most of the loss to the finish due to thinning along the topstrap to a copper-brown color. The checkered synthetic factory grips with black Ruger Phoenix rate excellent. In addition to the flat gate this revolver has a very low serial number and features the early rounded non-serrated front sight. The revolver includes an un-numbered factory box the is correctly labeled to the gun, manual and paperwork. A very early single six with light use and special provenance that is sure to pique the collectors interest. (88414-8) {C&R} [Roy Jinks Collection]

It finally made it home last week!! Its a beauty!! The auction house degrading to "about 95%" was due to that beautiful goldish discoloring at the top strap...which I and most Ruger collectors love!!
