Finger Groove Sporter laminated?

Post by Charlie1022 »

Who can remember the finger groove sporter stocks on early 10/22's? They were walnut stocks and are one of my favorite stock designs to shoot. Some were even checkered which are great looking. Now if we could get enough interest here maybe we could talk RUGER into bringing back this stock design in a laminated stock material. They could chose from a wide range of colors and offer them in both blued and stainless. What would be your first choice of color of stock if they would start a new model?

Charlie,
Like you, I have always liked this finger groove sporter stock. Checkered laminate would be awesome!!

As far as color, I've always liked some of the options from Boyds, once even had an Applejack laminate from them. I liked most of the options Ruger has produced in the past, but kind of tired of pepper color they use. I like to sneak a peak over at RimfireCentral sometimes just to see some of the cool things the guys come up on the 10/22s.

Definitely the best stock design that they had for the 10/22 and .44 carbine. I would sure support that but sure would like to see some made in just nice good grain walnut too!
