Well, I just pulled the trigger and ordered my scope;
Vortex Viper PST Gen II, 5-25x50, 30mm tube MRAD reticle, First Focal Plane, Illuminated.
Went ahead and got the precision matched rings and scope covers at the same time. Should be all the scope I will ever need for this rifle.
Now to work up loads to reach out and touch things from 600-1000 + yds. Going to be fun, fun, fun.
Won an RPR

Yes, although I am an avid No 1 guy, I could not resist getting an RPR when they came out...RoninPA wrote: ↑Wed Mar 28, 2018 4:33 pm Well, I just pulled the trigger and ordered my scope;

I tell you what they are shooters and you won't need to do much load work. Mine is in 308 and with factory ammo like Hornady match it's never shot a group larger than 1/2 MOA. Shooting prone at 8" gongs at 500 yds gets boring cause you never miss. Out past that windage and gun level gets important. I put a Level attachment on mine and helped me a bunch, an unnoticeable amount of gun tilt can be huge at 800 yds. Also my scope max power is 24x and wish it would be more for my old eyes at long distance.
Anyway it's a hoot to shoot!!!!

Happy for you Ron. It is always fun when you help a good cause and just happen to win. I just won a AR15 in a pre event drawing for our local Friends of the NRA banquet.
