10/22 Wooden Stock
10/22 Wooden Stock
I have recently purchased a mid 1970s 10/22 Rifle. The wooden stock is damaged but the rifle itself is in fine condition. Will a brand new stock fit this rifle?
Re: 10/22 Wooden Stock
JeHB36,
First, awesome P series collection! I only own one of those and don't know much.
BUT, the 10-22, I have more than I can count!!
Yes, any 10-22 stock (other than the take down) will work.
The action has never changed, just make sure you get one for
the tapered barrel as there are bull barrel stocks also.
Do an ebay or gunbroker search for 10-22 stock and stand back.....
there's a bunch of them.
Have fun, but be careful. 10-22 is endless and addicting!!!
Here's a few I have.
Cheers,
JAY

JeHB36, this one is in an ATI stock just like your mini-14. I have my 223/556 can and a light
since this is the gun I use at night to take care of the raccoons. The can is a bit heavy, but
REAL quiet!
Another fun thing about 10-22's for me is all the aftermarket stuff you can get for them.
In fact the only actual Ruger Mfg part on this guy are the magazines. Everything else is
aftermarket, barrel, receiver, trigger group, bolt & all.

Re: 10/22 Wooden Stock
A couple more "non traditional" 10-22's ......
Not for everyone, I understand. This is what got me going with the 10-22 the ability
to personalize them anyway I wanted. Cheers,

Jay, those are some kick @$$ 10/22s! I think the laminated ones are well done and as you said to your taste. The green and blue is my favorite! The water droplets, is that a hydro dip?

Re: 10/22 Wooden Stock
Thanks Chuck.
Yes it's a hydro dip. It is a synthetic stock, black underneath.
I got it on ebay 7-8 years ago..
The green with the blue is my Seahawks tribute gun.
I'm a big football fan, although I do admit I lost a lot of
interest last year with the protests and all. Only watched
2 games.
Love my college football though. GO DAWGS!!!

Dang it Jay now I want to go build a couple more. Do you have one of a gatling guns that uses two 10/22's? I don't have any cans yet but have shot couple and like them.
