Bill Lett's Blackhawk 44 Magnum
Serial number 7777 was shipped to him in October 1958 in Concord, NH. Bill Lett was a good friend of Bill Ruger and his company, W. F. Lett Manufacturing, supplied grip panels for various Ruger revolvers beginning in late 1962. The last five letters I received from Ruger state the month(s) the firearm was made and shipped and the shipping location. Looks like progress is being made on the letter front. I always believed 7777 was shipped to Bill Lett, but now the letter supports that. The revolver is mint with highly figured grip panels.

Doc, great gun and letter. Agree with you that Ruger has sure improved their letters. The last two I received had similar results. Thanks for showing us a mighty fine Flattop.

With a serial number like that you should buy a lottery ticket!! Beautiful revolver!
