Serial number 7777 was shipped to him in October 1958 in Concord, NH. Bill Lett was a good friend of Bill Ruger and his company, W. F. Lett Manufacturing, supplied grip panels for various Ruger revolvers beginning in late 1962. The last five letters I received from Ruger state the month(s) the firearm was made and shipped and the shipping location. Looks like progress is being made on the letter front. I always believed 7777 was shipped to Bill Lett, but now the letter supports that. :) The revolver is mint with highly figured grip panels.

Doc, great gun and letter. Agree with you that Ruger has sure improved their letters. The last two I received had similar results. Thanks for showing us a mighty fine Flattop.

An absolutely stunning BKH4 with a most unique serial number. Great news in your validation of its provenance.
