10/22 Serial mumber change

I was at a large gun shop yesterday and they had a large selection of 10/22's. I was looking at all of them and noticed a new black and brown laminated carbine. When I looked at the serial number it had a 001 prefix. I found another color laminated and it had a 002 prefix. Then there was a laminated deluxe sported with AFT prefix on this special engraved stock to honor farmers. I noticed several takedown models in the 736- prefix. Has anyone else notices these new serial number ranges? Now I know Radical Rod has seen these because he stopped in while I was checking them out. I had to get up real early to beat him there.

Hey Charlie, YES you do have to get up early to stay ahead of me

The new prefixes were actually 4 digit numbers 0001-xxxxx and the others were as you said lots of letter .....
