Evening all. First post on the site.
Currently in KY. originally from AL, but every few years I tend to get relocated and sent somewhere new.
Other places I’ve called home in recent years (or at least hung my hat for a while), include FL, TX, SC, Iraq, UAE, AZ, and Connecticut.
I’ve been in Kentucky now since 2018.
Wife and I do a fair amount of Steel Challenge match shooting together, and I try to hunt some when I have time for it.
Son and I just got back from a bison hunt a couple weekends ago. He took a ~1200 lb cow buffalo with a Ruger #1H .375HH at 190 yds. 532 lbs of meat.
I currently have 2 Ruger #1s, but I wouldn’t mind a couple others. Looking forward to meeting and learning from some of y’all with more knowledge and history on them than I.

Welcome from a WNC hillbilly!
I'm not much help on the Ruger rifles,, so I'll leave that to other folks here.

Welcome aboard Mannlicher, I've spent some time traveling too. I believe anyone who has a No.1 has a great appreciation for it. Share some pics with us.
