No1 in 44 Mag and 223

Post by taterark »

Hello all. I purchased a No 1-V 220 Swift at a local auction today. Very nice rifle. Appears to have been shot very little, if any. The FFL that handled the paperwork has a NIB 44 Mag and NIB 223 stainless. He’s asking $1650 each for the rifles. I have a very limited knowledge of No 1’s. I think the 44 Magnums are fairly scarce and looking at the last RENE it appears there were 377 of stainless 223 internationals produced. Finally my question, is he way off on the price or is that fair in today’s market? Thanks for your responses.

Check on the factory list price for new No.1 rifles and who can guess where prices are headed? I believe that those prices are actually low. Brass Frame/Lee E

Thanks for there reply’s. Any idea how many of the 44 mags were produced? It seems like I read where they were only offered one year.

I have the 1-V 223 stainless it shoots very well with no modification. Likes bipod and bench. I have target scope on it.
