Restoration Recommendation?

Post by HHH »

I just had a catastrophe. A water leak managed to get inside my gun cabinet and rusted up my Ruger M77 MKII Frontier. It needs a complete teardown, polish, some parts replaced, and refinish/reblue.

I called Ruger NH, and they said send it in for evaluation, but I don't think they do this kind of restoration. Repair, yes, replace parts, yes.

I called Turnbull, and from what I hear of their reputation, believe they can at least make this presentable. Again, they said send it in for evaluation and quote.

I am devastated, as I try to be meticulous in the care of whatever I own. I won't rest until this Ruger is restored.

Any suggestions?

Have you considered Tyler Gun works up in Fiona Panhandle TX? His work is very impressive, and is a member here of ROCS.

I suggest you call Bobby Tyler at Tyler Gun Works, 806-729-7292. His prices are reasonable and his work is outstandinding. He is also a ROCS member.
