Single six serial # list for 3 screws

Post by Derdeth »

Hi all,

New to the forum and am wondering if there is serial # list for old model 3 screws readily available. I just picked up a single six 3 screw serial # 821*** and was wanting to find out year of manufacture. Rugers website doesn't show any info on the number. Any help greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum!
Ask lots of questions and post pics, we like pics 8-)

With that serial # your Single -Six was made in 1968.
What barrel length?
Get the box?

Cheers,

Thank you for the reply. I believe 5.5" but will double check after I pick up from my FFL in a couple of weeks. No it didn't have the box. In the shape its in, I'm assuming it was part of an estate sale.

If you really want to learn a LOT about Rugers,, subscribe to "The Red Eagle News Exchange." Chad Hiddleson is the publisher,, and it's a quarterly booklet. But you can ALSO get a copy of his "Ruger Reference Guide" that will give you more details than you'd think were possible. It's an INVALUABLE resource for buying older Rugers.
Chad goes by "chet15" on the Forums.
The RENE is inexpensive when compared to other stuff.
