Any reason not to modify this Super Blackhawk?
Recently, I picked up this Super Blackhawk 44, it belonged to a friend who passed away, and would like to get the frame case colored and different grips put on it. I saw a picture of a Ruger single action on one of the forums that had this done to it and liked the looks. My question is: is there any...

Re: Update on Factory Letters
Recently, I had requested information on two of my #1's and received the standard reply and info which served my purpose. But it would be nice to be able to get more. As hbone stated "everybody keep banging the drum and they might get the idea" or something to that effect. Ruger is suppose...

My question is: do I send it back to Ruger or find another gunsmith to do the work? T...

Medium Sporter vs Tropical Rifle?
How do you tell the difference between a medium sporter 1-B and a 1-H Tropical rifle other than the caliber? There's no box either. Thanks

No.1 loose action and ejector
Recently picked up a No.1 A, .243, Light Sporter, 130-xxxx with really great wood. It shoots OK, 1 MOA with handloads but haven't spent much time working up the right load. Almost excellent wood and metal condition but the extractor doesn't eject the brass with authority. It just sort of "plops...
